JobBoard for the Puget Sound WA IEC

JobBoard Benefits

The JobBoard is a benefit available for Contractor Members and Applicants only. The Puget Sound Washington Chapter of Independent Electrical Contractors recognizes the need for contractors to find quality employees. In an effort to ensure the availability to find employees quickly and effectively the PSWIEC introduces the JobBoard. The JobBoard benefits both the employer and the applicant. Consider these benefits:

Employers

  • Applications for various positions will be available and posted online in the Application Database.

  • It is easy and convenient to navigate between the pages.
  • Members are able to review the applications on the Job Board at any time.

  • Access to the site is free as part of your membership in IEC.
  • It will eliminate traffic through your office.

  • Reduces Human Resource costs due to the reduction of applications processed.

  • Eliminates the cost to run ads in newspapers for available positions.

  • Access to resumes of applicants in other parts of Washington State through our JobBoard sharing agreement with the Northwest Washington Chapter and the Central Washington Chapter.  This will help you find electricians for jobs you have in their chapter areas.

Applicants

  • If you do not have your 4 year Washington State Commercial Journeyman’s license and are wanting to be or are an apprentice/trainee, we suggest you also call the IEC Apprentice Program at 1-866-959-2432 for more information, as our contractors only hire apprentices/trainees through that program. We accept applications for any other type of position within the industry.

  • Put your application in front of all IEC Electrical Contractors that are actually hiring.

  • You don't have to leave your home to have a contractor review your application.

  • Eliminates the need to make phone calls that lead to dead ends.

  • Land the job that's right for you.

  • Keep your resume in front of hiring contractors 24 hours a day.

  • Contractors look forward to reviewing the application that you have submitted.

  • Don't buy a newspaper just for the classified ads, the Puget Sound Washington IEC will post your application online.

  • If you are willing to relocate and identify yourself as such, your application may be seen by IEC Contractors in other parts of Washington, since we have a JobBoard sharing agreement with the Northwest Chapter and the Central Washington Chapter.

  • Contractors from those chapters doing jobs in this area can review your application, too.

  • Your cost is only $15 and your posting will stay up a minimum of 3 months, unless notified that you have been hired.

  • If you are hired by one of our IEC Contractors, your $15 fee will be reimbursed by that contractor.
